Man Found Dead and Woman Arrested Near Viejas Casino – May 17, 2017
Angela Meza, 47, of Alpine has been arrested An Alpine woman was arrested in connection with a man found dead from an apparent gunshot wound Tuesday evening, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. She will be booked into Las Colinas Detention Center for murder, officials said. A call of a suicidal man was received by the Sheriff’s yesterday at 6:35 p.m. When deputies arrived they found an unresponsive 42-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound inside the residence located at 31 Viejas Grade Road near Willows Road. On April 22, 1994, a man driving along Interstate 8 in Alpine noticed a fire burning just south of the freeway near Arnold Way. The witness got off the freeway and saw a vehicle driving away from the fire. He also saw what he believed to be a mannequin burning on the road. Elderly woman found dead in Alpine: Homicide detectives investigating death San Diego County sheriff’s deputies discovered the body of a woman in Alpine Tuesday after a tip from Los Angeles County homicide investigators.
