Horseshoe Tournament, Rummage Sale, BBQ, Live Music, Full Bar & Raffle at the Alpine American Legion – August 24, 2019
Come participate in our ALL SKILLS Horseshoe Tournament! Sign ups are at 10am and we have A LOT MORE GOING ON TOO! We are also having Our Fundraiser Rummage Sale beginning at 7am. The coffee will be on and the bar open as well! Come go through others’ junk and find your treasures! Anything left over will be donated to the Disabled American Veterans. Join us for a Kendama Tournament Every Wednesday at the Alpine Library!
“Kendama” Tournament Every Wednesday 3:30pm to 4:30pm at the Alpine Library! Kendama is a traditional Japanese toy that has three cups and a spike which fits into the hole in the ball. Kendama bears similarities to the classic cup-and-ball game. The principle of these toys are the same: catching one object with another, where both are joined by a string. However the modern kendama style takes influences from a diverse range of skills including yo-yo, diabolo, juggling and dance.
