FOUND TORTOISE: Palo Verde Ranch Alpine 10-25-16
UPDATE: 10-30-16 He was a red eared slider turtle. We released him to the big lake where he literally ran faster than we knew a turtle could into the lake! I’m not sure if this is a turtle or a tortoise but this friend showed up on our rock yesterday. It does not seem frightened when we speak to it so we’re wondering if it’s someone’s pet? 7-24-15 – UPDATE – THE OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND! Since this tortoise is an escape artist I am posting the owners contact info for future reference. The owner is Stacy, 619-213-5758. LOCATION_DESCRIPTION: Found, a desert (Sulcata?) tortoise that was walking across Arnold Way East of Harrison Canyon stop sign this morning. His shell was approximately 2′ long by about 1.5′ wide. Weighed about 50 lbs. The tortoise was taken in by nearby neighbors who also had turtles, but this one wasn’t theirs. If you know this turtle, we can tell you where it is.
