COMMUNITY ALERT: Removal of Trees for New Alpine Library Site – Week of January 26, 2015
NEW LIBRARY COMMUNITY UPDATE – REMOVAL OF TREES During the week of 1/26 there will be trees removed from the north side of the parking lot that fronts the new Library. The Library will extend into this area. The parking lot in front of the new Library (which belongs to the County) will not be available for parking. The Community Center Park, Ball fields, Tennis Court, and lower Parking lot will be closed Wed. Jan. 28-Sat. Jan 31st. Ground breaking will be March 6th at 11: A:M: Earth movement will then start; and the actual building will begin in early April.…

Posted By Gerry Brewster As a long time resident of Alpine, myself and others are tired of our community roads being continually torn up for construction projects. I have recently been made aware that Padre Dam Municipal Water District has applied for a permit to trench and replace an existing water service for the new construction on the North East corner of Alpine Blvd and West Victoria. I contacted the office of Dianne Jacob to inquire about this, after which the county surveyor called me and stated that there is a county ordnance that basically states that when roads are resurfaced…
