Alpine Teen places 3rd in “Read to the Rhythm” Library Art Contest

The San Diego County Library recently held an Art Contest based on the theme for this year’s Summer Reading program: “Read to the Rhythm.” Winners were selected in three divisions: Adult, Teen, and Child. We are proud to announce that the 3rd place Winner for the Teen Division is Alpine’s own Emily Holmes, a student at Granite Hills High School. Emily’s Mom, Amber, picked up an application at the Alpine Library Friends Association (ALFA) bookstore and encouraged her to enter. “Emily loves to paint,” says Amber, so that’s what she did!
