Alpine Elementary School to Finally Get Lighted Crosswalk – By Lou Russo

Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Murali Pasumarthi and Ms. Maria.Rubio atthe County, Supervisor Jacobs, ACPG Circulation Chairman Mr. Tom Myers, Alpine Elementary Principal Mr. Jon McEvoy, and AES parents, the County has decided to help protect the parents and children of AES by installing a mid-block crosswalk at Alpine Elementary.  The crosswalk will be installed during the next phase of the County Streetscape project when drainage is installed on Alpine Blvd. The crosswalk will have in-pavement lights as well as lighted flashing signs and will be one of the designs currently in use in Imperial Beach, Santa Barbara and…
