    Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council

    The Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council is currently taking registration and sign ups for their annual chipping events for 2022. Their free Curbside Chipping Program provides property owners with the opportunity to safely dispose of the flammable vegetation around their homes instead of burning it. The program goal is to reduce fuel loads and wildfire risk to prevent and mitigate future wildfires. The No-Cost Chipping Program is administered by the Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council.     I attended the Alpine Design Review Board meeting tonight. Here is a summary of what I heard. The lease is signed. There is a Jack in The Box moving into the Fred’s location. The lease will be taken over by a franchisee. It will not be a Jack in The Box corporate owned location. The building will NOT look like other traditional Jack locations.     ATTENTION SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS! The Alpine Chamber of Commerce has collaborated with the San Diego City Supervisor to offer SMALL BUSINESS STIMULUS GRANTS for up to $25,000. The Small Business Stimulus Grant Program is funded by Board of Supervisors allocated federal American Recovery Plan Act funding.
