    Alpine Community Planning Group Holds Special Meeting

    Caltrans Responds to Complaints

    On Friday, September 16, Alpine Community Network reached out to Caltrans regarding feedback about the large amount of traffic from their project on I8. It was communicated how the traffic from the lane closures was affecting our residents commute time and largely impacting their life. Below is the response from Caltrans.     Work on Highway 8 from Viejas Creek to the Pine Valley Creek Bridge began in late July and is expected to go through early 2024.  You can expect nighttime lane closures as well as ramp closures.  The following details will help you navigate the road work.     Kiwanis Club of Alpine Working Hard for Our Community

    The Kiwanis Club of Alpine has been hard at work for our community.  Beginning with the Soap Box Derby, to Kite Flying and Vintage Alpine.     Double S Tack and Feed Hosts Annual Easter Egg Hunts

    Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council

    The Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council is currently taking registration and sign ups for their annual chipping events for 2022. Their free Curbside Chipping Program provides property owners with the opportunity to safely dispose of the flammable vegetation around their homes instead of burning it. The program goal is to reduce fuel loads and wildfire risk to prevent and mitigate future wildfires. The No-Cost Chipping Program is administered by the Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council.
