Descanso Web Design

We are a family owned and operated team based in Descanso, CA.   Carole Dearman and Marguerite English started DWD in 2009.  We have completed many websites for local organizations and businesses. After a site is complete, they provide webmaster services and newsletters for their customers. They specialize in small businesses or organizations and endeavor to make each site fit the customer’s business needs.

Carole’s specialty is graphics. She loves photography and you may see her parked by the side of any Descanso roadway, snapping photos of the wildflowers.  She is adept with Photoshop and other graphic products, and creates the graphics for the sites they design together.  She also writes code, teaches about graphics software and is the main test person for all DWD products.  Before she retired, she was responsible for payroll for the southwestern district of Sears technicians. Carole volunteered to be webmaster for HookbillHobbyists.org, which led her into the website business.

Marguerite’s background is in building business applications for large corporations. She specializes in the technical side and in teaching computer skills. Marguerite worked her way through college as a bookkeeper, and then taught junior high school for several years. After that, she worked for a large computer firm, first writing code, then as a database specialist, and finally performing business analysis and system design and teaching database classes. After retiring, Marguerite returned to her first loves, gardening and learning about our native plants. One thing led to another until she volunteered to create and maintain DescansoGardenClub.org for Descanso’s local gardening club.
