Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council
The Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council is currently taking registration and sign ups for their annual chipping events for 2022.
Their free Curbside Chipping Program provides property owners with the opportunity to safely dispose of the flammable vegetation around their homes instead of burning it. The program goal is to reduce fuel loads and wildfire risk to prevent and mitigate future wildfires.
The No-Cost Chipping Program is administered by the Greater Alpine Fire Safe Council. Funding is provided by a Community Protection grant from the Sunrise Powerlink Fire Mitigation Grants Program.
