Alpine Veterans Wall of Honor Seeking World War II & Korean War Veterans for Honor Flight

Dear Military Veteran and Family Member,
We hope that you are doing well and are staying healthy. One of our partner organizations, Honor Flight San Diego has requested we help them find Southern California World War II and Korean War Veterans to go on their Honor Flight.
Honor Flight San Diego is a nonprofit organization that takes our most senior veterans (currently WWII and Korea) on a three-day trip to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials built for their service and sacrifice. Due to the pandemic they had to postpone their last three flights and are now planning for an October 2021 trip. The organization has generous donors and the three-day trip is no cost to the veteran.
During the trip, you would visit the WWII, Korea, Lincoln, Vietnam, and USMC Memorials, as well as the Navy Yard Museum. Women veterans go to the Military Women’s Memorial as well. One of the most special parts of the trip is to have a front row seat at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. The trip is filled with patriotism, gratitude for your service, and camaraderie with your fellow military brothers and sisters. Every veteran is paired with a “Battle Buddy” for the trip to help them with any needs.
The trip will be October 1-3, 2021 and will be on a charter flight from San Diego with about 90 other Southern California WWII and Korea Veterans. There will be charter buses to take you to and from the BWI airport, and on the Saturday trip to the memorials in Washington, D.C. The hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night and all your meals are covered as well. Again, there is no cost for you to go on this trip.

Sincerely,
